We Are Studying Planets
We are studying planets at school. Children are poring through the books, and each class has taken on the making of a paper mache planet for our hanging display. Yesterday Neptune, Today Jupiter! The afternoon class has been enjoying visits to Fiske Planetarium on Friday afternoons, meeting with the fantastic Tito Salas, a bilingual scientist and hilarious teacher of children. Last week we learned about rockets and lasers, and this week we will go into the theater to “visit” all the planets. All of the children recognize the earth as our home, and said Tonantzin, “It is a great place to live”. Niroj was fascinated to see that Nepal was across the globe from Boulder.
